Key Account Manager BeLux Retail & HC

Our people are our most valuable asset. To support and reinforce our Commercial team we are looking for a Key Account Manager BeLux Retail & HC.

Mission and Key Tasks

As Key Account Manager you manage the strategic development of the BeLux region in the Retail channel and the Healthcare B2B2C channel. 

For the Retail channel you create and implement a well-defined strategy, as well as manage a portfolio of customers within this region, including the follow-up of some buying groups where activities take place outside Belgium.
For the Healthcare B2B2C channel you develop a winning long-term sales strategy for the assigned customers by executing detailed customer & market assessments, identifying opportunities for growth and strengthening our market position. Your expertise will be vital in exploring new partnerships and expanding into "white space" areas.


The Key Account Manager will be in charge of:

  • Creating the strategy and goals for the customers in scope
  • Developing, implementing & following up the key account plans within the overall strategy for the business unit and group
  • Managing all aspects of the commercial negotiations, sales development and customer interface
  • Meeting customers regularly, preparing (materials for) customer meetings and communicating/following up next steps/actions in a structured and effective way
  • Deliver the sales and margin targets set by the annual budget
  • Aligning forecasting and forecast accuracy, in close collaboration with the demand manager
  • Analyzing sales and market data and using it effectively to develop (new) business 
  • Managing market intelligence through store visits on a regular basis and communicate in a timely manner internally
  • Completion of customer specific documentation
  • Management of key projects and ensuring tasks are completed in a timely and effective manner


Background and Experience

  • Bachelor degree (preferable in Business Economics or Business Administration) or Master degree in Sales or Sales and Marketing 
  • Minimum of 5 years sales experience in a B2B environment, dealing with customers at all levels of an organization. Experience in the private label market or related would be an advantage
  • Fluent English, Dutch and French 
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills; will need to manage people and get buy in without direct authority
  • Business acumen & commercially aware of the decisions taken and the impact they could have on both customer and Ontex’s business
  • Organized and structured; good time & project management skills
  • Analytical ability; able to crunch numbers and to think in a logical and strategic manner
  • PC literate; advanced Excel skills
  • Hands on attitude
  • flexibility with hybrid working policy (maximum 3days/week from home)
