Sales Assistant

To reinforce our Commercial team we are looking for a Sales Assistant.

Mission and Key Tasks

This role exists to enable the sales of Ontex products and services by efficiently managing product information, administrative processes, and tools. By providing accurate and timely information to commercial team members and customers, the Sales Support Specialist ensures that we reach our targets.
As a vital part of the sales team, you will play a critical role in driving the success of our sales operations and contributing to our overall growth.

Main Tasks:

  • Ensure customer records are correct in our SAP systems.
  • Coordinate new product launches with customers, managing required data in their systems.
  • Oversee the product life cycle, monitor inventory, and enable accurate sales reporting.
  • Process all commercial administrative tasks accurately.
  • Communicate internally with various departments such as Product Management, Customer Service, Planning, Quality, and Plants, and report to the KAM/Sales Manager.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers, handle tender documents, inform about product changes and availability, follow up on promotions, and update prices.
  • Manage customer complaints in collaboration with product and quality managers to ensure effective resolution.
  • Update and follow up on contractual documents and customer statistics.

Background and Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in a branded and private label environment.
  • Accurate, efficient, rigorous, and well-organized.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English; French is a plus.
  • Strong IT skills, including MS Office tools (especially Excel) and SAP.
  • Autonomous with a strong customer-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and enjoys solving problems.
  • Process-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Team player with a hands-on approach.
