Tax Specialist

To reinforce our Finance team we are looking for a Tax Specialist.

Mission and Key Tasks

 

The Tax Specialist will liaise with various business teams within the company to gain a deep understanding of the business vision and model. You will help develop comprehensive tax solutions and requirements, and help drive the implementation. 

 

  • Work closely with other members of the global tax and finance department to help obtain cross functional subject matter input relevant to tax. 
  • Monitor implementation and documentation of transfer pricing policies including ensuring all aspects of the Group’s TP policy are defendable 
  • Prepare and review of transfer pricing calculations in line with the group’s TP policy
  • Assist in the preparation, review and updating of the transfer pricing documentation including ensuring the timely submission of Country by Country reporting, Master File and local TP files.
  • Closely follow up on international corporate income tax developments 
  • Assist the local Finance managers with all income tax related questions 
  • Provide support with local tax audits. Coordinate and assist local finance departments in data collection and advisor coordination
  • Provide guidance to and review of the financial closing process for income and deferred tax
  • Provide support in the preparation of the Belgian Corporate Income Tax returns

Background and Experience

 

  • Master's degree in Business / Finance or equivalent through experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in corporate tax/transfer pricing in an international environment 
  • Good understanding of Belgian and international tax concepts, including transfer pricing, transfer pricing documentation, interest deductibility, permanent establishment, withholding taxes etc 
  • Experienced in Excel and be familiar with SAP and BI systems. 
  • Fluent in English, Dutch and French, other languages are considered a plus 
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills 
  • Proactive and positive attitude 
  • Detail oriented but able to quickly grasp the big picture
