What is the scope of the job?

Responsible for the maintenance department: maintenance, planning, spare parts and documentation.

What am I expected to deliver, and what are my main tasks?

Providing leadership and direction to all supervisors and employees of the Maintenance department
Strive for 0 accident
Guiding and supporting all direct reports in all kind of questions and tasks, including the development of action plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of people and new technologies
Supervising and controlling all kind of technical projects (new installations, conversions, start-ups, etc.) and providing active support in order to ensure machine availability in time and budget
Active communication to the Technical Manager
Providing all required technical support in order to achieve output- and waste targets as well as quality KPI's of the production lines
supporting the organization of the preventive and curative maintenance in order to ensure the availability of the production lines
Preparing annual training plans for the technical staff
Supervising and supporting the availability of critical spare parts and taking the appropriate actions necessary
Controlling and managing the availability of technical documentation of all kind of technical equipment installed or in stock.
Providing all required support for executing trials (Quality, R&D, Sales)
Active communication to all kind of foreign equipment suppliers (converting and packaging machinery)
Analyzing new technologies, resource requirements and market demands and support the implementation of new technology and staff actively
Planning and directing the selection, installation, testing and operation of new technical equipment (machinery and facility)
Lead the department yearly budget process and continuously monitor performance versus budget

What is the educational requirement for the job?

Higher technical studies or equivalent by experience

What prior experience is required for the job?

At least 5 years of experience as a technical manager or maintenance manager in a leading position of a mid - size company, preferably in international business relations

Which technical skills do I need to master?

Strong practical background and experience, technical apprenticeship prior to study recommended
Knowledge of maintenance strategy and having the ability to bring this to a big group of people and bring it on practice.
