Channel Manager Distributors

Ontex is a leading international provider of disposable personal hygiene solutions for all generations. To reinforce our Commercial team we are looking for a Channel Manager Distributors .

Scope of the job

To grow and manage profitable sales, in line with budgeted requirements of the Ontex portfolio of healthcare products through distributors (healthcare & mobility), online retailers and pharmaceutical wholesalers. reporting to the Commercial Director UK & Ireland 

Accountable for profitable sales growth in line with groups expectations  

Accountable for informing customers of new product innovations and product changes  

Accountable for all reporting to be on time to line managers or senior colleagues  

Work with credit control to help cash flow requirements. 
 

Mission and Key Tasks

Knowledge of market: products, changes, competitors, pricing. environmental issues. 
Champions trust and integrity with customers and colleagues .ie team member. 
Share competitor knowledge with team members. 
Search for new accounts that do not impact on existing customers 
Managing all accounts and responding to their individual needs to help them grow their Ontex incontinence business ie be customer focused. 
Monitor sales and margin through all customers 
Monitor all accounts that have a retrospective discount scheme and communicate their purchasing levels to ensure they achieve their targets. 
Ensure that all company equipment is used and kept secure in line with company requirements. ie IT equipment and company car. 
Ensure that deadlines are met 
Keep up to date reporting procedures ie teams. 
Communicate price changes to business support and customer service. 
Take an active part in sales and cross functional meetings 

Background and Experience

 

Minimum of 3 years experience selling to distributors in the healthcare market and pharmacy wholesalers. or FMCG market  

Must be able to demonstrate good business acumen.  

Must be able to demonstrate good communication and listening skills.  

Must be able to demonstrate good presentation skills  

Must be able to demonstrate good selling & negotiation skills.  

Must have good it skills, word, excel, and PowerPoint.   

Must be able to plan own workload.  

Must be a good teamplayer.
