Technical Manager FTC 6 Months

The purpose of the Technical Manager is, on behalf of the UK/ROI Sales Organisation, to develop relationships with key customer technical contacts and ensure customer requirements are met in order to guarantee our right to do business.

The TM will:

  • Complaints Management – Entry of customer complaints in the QA database, liaise with Site Quality during investigations, create consumer friendly responses for the customer service teams, instigate technical reviews with key customers, monitor media activity and highlight any potential high risk complaints, provide training to customer service teams
  • Specification Management - Keep the customer specification systems up to date, supply all necessary supporting documentation, approve first production samples prior to market release, keep records of sealed samples
  • Artwork Approval & Claim Substantiation – Provide input to agency briefing documents, ensure claims can be substantiated (lab & panel data), ensure any legally required information is present, provide final sign off of artworks
  • Quality & Customer Audits – Communicate customer requirements to  the sites, assist the sites with preparation of customer audits, support the sites with  closing out any non-conformities that may arise, attend customer visits when requested
  • Regulatory Compliance – Ensure products comply with both UK & EU legislation and be able to demonstrate this to customers, gather and share regulatory intel with the Technical Team
  • Sustainability – Work with the Sales Teams to communicate our corporate strategy, goals and targets to customers, share Ontex sustainability news, provide sustainability information and data to customers as and when requested

 

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of A level including English
  • HNC/HND equivalent or Bachelor’s degree

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in working in Customer Services or Complaints Handling
  • Experience in working in Product Management
  • Experience in Specification Management
  • Experience of working in FMCG
  • Technical Experience in hygienic disposables markets would be an advantage
  • Experience in the private label market would be an advantage
