Manager Backoffice (m/w/d)

To reinforce our Support team we are looking for a Manager Backoffice (m/w/d).

 

 

In this position you are responsible for the smooth administrative operation of the Global Excellence Center in Mayen and for coordinating the back office team.

The task:

  • Provide organizational and administrative support to the site teams to facilitate the achievement of their goals.
  • Organize and manage business trips national or international (including visa processes), conferences, meetings, and events, ensuring smooth execution and follow-ups.
  • Oversee budget management for travel and meetings, and prepare presentations and reports as needed.
  • Work closely with site teams to assist in ongoing projects or tasks when required.
  • Research and connect with potential business partners related to the site needs; cleaning services, catering, hotels,…
  • Provide support for local Health & Safety, Facility Management, and fleet management, ensuring proper maintenance and compliance of site and company cars.
  • Coordinate, organize and manage a team of 3 people.

 

What you bring:

  • Several years of experience in international assistance (executive level preferred), event organization, and preferably in employee management or as an HR interface.
  • Demonstrates strong organizational abilities, creativity, reliability, personal responsibility, and service orientation.
  • Capable of working independently while being an open-minded team player.
  • Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of SAP, or other systems is an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills with excellent spoken and written German and English; additional language skills are a plus.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to dynamic environments
  • Willingness to travel internationally (5-15 days/year).
